So what? If the notifications were reminders that your phone sucks at least it would be interesting, this phone hasn't had useful update in years and what is offered is bloatware. In the description you are told by opting in information is being collected, and it's not to make the phone better, otherwise online reviews wouldn't be so negative and known issue would be resolved. At one time Motorola made decent product, now Motorola translates to Deadend phone, by something else, cheap phone sucker
